OUR PRINCIPLES ARE CHILD-CENTRED

Our Principles

Learning With Joy

We believe that education is a lifelong process that is highly enjoyable and every child can discover the joy of learning

Acquiring the Skills

We believe that education begins when a child has acquired the skill of discipline, reading and understanding

Applying Knowledge

We help the child not just to accumulate knowledge but to apply that knowledge to his/her world

Working with Parents

We work with parents to reinforce and imbue these life-long skills in the child

Every Child is Special

We believe every child is created by God and each has a special and individual destiny

AN INTERNATIONALLY-RECOGNISED CURRICULUM

We equip our students for their next phase in life with a recognised secondary education qualification – the Cambridge IGCSE.

Our Curriculum

Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)

The Cambridge IGCSE is an English language based examination similar to GCSE and is recognized in the UK and many institutions globally as being equivalent to the GCSE for the purposes of recognizing prior attainment.  English and Mathematics are compulsory, and we support a wide range of subjects for students to choose from.

Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint (Checkpoint)

Students who are seeking to embark on IGCSEs later are prepared with the Checkpoint curriculum. Checkpoint provides the students with an external international benchmark for learner performance.

Accelerated Christian Education (ACE)

We use ACE for primary level education.  ACE is a Bible-based, Christian K–12 curriculum, consisting of reading programs and a core curriculum.  Core curriculum provides students with academics, skill building, reading practice, character and wisdom training.  Subjects include Math, Science, Social Studies, Bible, Word Building, Literature and Creative Writing, and English. We also incorporate Bahasa Melayu in the students' studies.

WHAT PARENTS SAY

“I’m really pleased with Beyond Horizons. The supervisors are knowledgeable, caring and loving. My daughter joined 3 months ago, in which I noticed a tremendous excellent change from her. For example she is more independent and confident in the things she does. It’s a great place. My child loves it.”
